What prompt you to begin riding?
I always enjoyed BMX racing and motocross riding . I have always been around motorcycles street and dirt . It was just a matter of time before street bikes would follow.
When did your obsession begin?
I rode a friends 85 VFR 500 1994 and had to have it !
How long have you been riding, and what was your first bike?
On and off for about 15 years I have always had something to ride. My first bike was a 85 VFR 500 I am riding a 02 GSXR 750 now.
What is your FAVORITE Motorcycle?
The GSXR will always be my favorite ! I am on my 4th now soon to buy another .
What goes on inside your head as you are riding?
I get 100% focused on the bike what it is doing, what it sounds like ,etc.. Then I just ride and have fun at what I am doing !
What's your favorite stunt?
Right now I would have to say circle wheelies and no handed wheelies.
So, when you first started doing wheelies, how did it make you feel?
It was the best ever I would just be in my own world . Its real hard to put into words but the rush it gives me is unreal.
Who is your idol or the person that you looked up to and guided you to becoming a better rider?
In the begining J.T. Holt he always pushed me to be better than what I was and helped me alot . These days Brandon Ulrich does the same for me now ! We put in some hardcore sessions when we ride . It is hard to narrow it down to just one or two people there are so many that inspire me in different ways ! My wife and family for supporting me 100% even while I have been hurt .
What modifications do you like best on sportbikes?
For a stunt bike nothing but a slip-on, steering dampener and gears.
What future modifications if any are you planning on doing to your own bike?
I have been throwing around the idea of a set of renthal bars on the GSXR but I am not sure if I am going to .
In your opinion, what do you consider to be the worst mistake a rider can make in an emergency situation?
The worst thing you can do is panic. I have seen a lot of riders wreck because they would panic and nail the front brakes . This seems to happen a lot in corners and in traffic.
What hobbies did you have as a child? Do you think you hobbies made a difference in where you are today?
Bmx racing and freestyle I spent most of my time traveling and competing in street skateboard competitions. I think it has help me to perform in front of crowds and to feed off of the energy that they put off.
Do you follow professional racing? If so, who is your favorite rider?
NO, but I really like to watch Kurtis Roberts and A Yates Race.
Have you done any racing yourself? Are you an accomplished CCS racer?
Nothing serious and I have never raced in CCS. I wanted to when I was younger but never could afford to race.
What do you think about women racers?
Its great to see women racing . I have noticed a few of them at local track days being faster than a lot of the guys that are out there with them.
Are there any special places you like to ride to, hang out at, and basically frequent a lot?
Lakeland drag strip in FL has to be one of my favorite places to ride. There is always really good riders and a lot of great people out there. I have the most fun riding with my team Jacob B., Aaron B.,Mike C., and Aaron "Pee Wee" J. at our local spot in Jacksonville Fla.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have to fix my bike(laughing). I enjoy the most spending time and riding with my wife Julie.
What would you say was your best moment so far on your bike? What would be the worst?
The best moment........Is two the first is two weeks ago at a charity event for Angel Aid . That was the best time we have ever had ! Charity events have been and always will be a priority for us. The second would be the first time I got paid to do what I love to do ! The worst would be a accident I had two years ago that landed me in the hospital for a week and at home for a month and a half.
Do you have any battle scars?
Half my back both knees ,legs, and arms. I also have a nasty scar from a surgery from breaking my arm two years ago.
What's next for you and how can you take it to the next level?
We are planning a competition with Pure Bred Riders and Darksyde Ryders an Jacksonville, Fla. in Oct 03. We are doing a lot in our community to help get rid of the bad image that some stunters have in north Florida. Most of the pro teams are working together to make this happen and bring freestyle street riding into the publics eye in a positive way.
You've been in movies and stunt show, are there days when you just don't feel like your head is around the task and you can't perform?
I do have bad days sometimes , when this happens I just stop and relax for a minute then concentrate on having fun not on the hard technical tricks.
This works for me and it shows when I am performing.
Where do you see yourself in a few years?
I see myself still riding in shows but maybe being behind the scenes a little more with promoting events videos etc...
What do you have to say to all the new stunners out there currently coming into the scene?
Have patience think about what you are doing and wear your gear .
